Menu Plan Monday: The Newbie Version
Monday, August 30, 2010 Hand-posted by Jennifer
I’m not much of a menu plan person but in an effort to streamline three kids, in two different schools, and juggling a part time job I thought I’d try my hand at something new.
Dinner must be quick and easy for me since the kids come home from school starving. (My daughter seriously eats lunch at 10:45 in her preschool class.) So, I’ve been tweaking our evening routine to ensure dinner, homework and bath time are on a tight schedule.
Here’s what’s on the menu:
Monday – Homemade pizza with fresh garden veggies
Tuesday – Pork, baked beans and smashed potatoes
Wednesday – Chicken, broccoli and rice
Thursday – Baked Spaghetti and garlic toast
Friday – Breakfast Tradition (Choice of pancakes and sausage or cereal)
So, there you have it. The newbie version of my Menu Planning efforts.

These look like great, hearty, sensible meals for starving children! I can't believe your daughter's lunch is so early?! Do they allow them a snack or anything? Anyway, I'm new at this meal planning thing, too. I'm a homeschool mom and I'm a new mom all over again, so now I'm trying to organize my life again! LOL! =)
