The voluntary recall covers the following items:

McDonald’s Shrek Drinking Glasses Recall

I wanted to bring light to a recall of the McDonald’s Shrek glasses.
McDonald’s is recalling 12 Million Shrek Forever After 3D collectible drinking glasses which had paint that contained the toxic metal Cadmium. Read more details at the CPSC website.
While this isn’t a laughing matter, my first thought when I heard about this recall was “How many people lick the outside of their glasses?” But, after hearing further details, your hands would be exposed to the paint, which may not be washed properly after handling the glasses. OK, that makes sense.
I recently hosted a McDonald’s & Shrek End Of School Bash House Party and while this recall was not known at the time of the party I was pleased to see that House Party Inc is in touch with McDonald’s working on getting further details.

Tylenol Recall: Select Children’s and Infant Liquids

If you’ve purchased Tylenol lately then you’ll want to read the details of a Children and Infant Tylenol recall.
You may have heard that McNeil Consumer Healthcare (the makers of TYLENOL®) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products that were manufactured between April, 2008 and June, 2008. All products manufactured met internal specifications. However, the company is implementing this recall because during this period, an unused portion of one inactive ingredient did not meet all quality standards. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it was decided to recall all Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products listed below, which were made during this time.
Parents and caregivers who have questions or concerns should contact their child's health care provider or our consumer call center at 1-800-962-5357 (available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time). Consumers can find the lot numbers on the bottom of the box containing the liquid product and also on the sticker that surrounds the product bottle. The lot numbers of the affected products are listed below.
These actions do not apply to Children's TYLENOL® Meltaways and Junior Strength TYLENOL® Meltaways. The voluntary recall applies only to select lots of Children's and Infants' TYLENOL® liquid products.

Important Recall on Nestle Toll House Cookie products

Have you bought any Nestle refrigerated cookie dough recently? If so, you’ll want to know that they are recalling some of their products! For more details, check out this press release from Nestle.
Nestlé USA’s Baking Division is initiating a voluntary recall of Nestlé® TOLL HOUSE® refrigerated cookie dough products. Nestlé is taking this action out of an abundance of caution after being notified that the Food and Drug Administration, together with the Centers for Disease Control, are conducting an investigation into reported E. coli 0157:H7 illnesses that may be related to consumption of raw cookie dough.

ANNOUNCEMENT for everyone reading that is in the Knoxville area!
My bloggy friend Gabrielle Blake will be teaching a workshop for Couponing in Critical Times on May 2nd. Gabrielle was featured in the Knoxville News Sentinel recently for her coupon knowledge and is really wanting to get the word out to others in our area about using coupons.
I think this workshop is a wonderful idea because I know there are so many people struggling in today’s economy that don’t realize how much “money” is sitting in the newspaper stand waiting to be clipped.
