I’m an in-the-ground type of garden gal but I’ve had a couple of friends comment about how the Topsy Turvy planters would be a great way to garden due to their rent situation but the cost of the planters was too high.

- Go to the Country Store and add the Topsy Turvy Planter for only $5.99 to your cart
- Use code 9763 to get $1 shipping
- Final Total for Planter & Shipping is only $6.99
- And -- A Strawberry Topsy Turvy Planter is only $7.99 (Plus $1 shipping makes it only $8.99)
Bonus: Go through ShopAtHome for 6% cash back on your purchase or Ebates for 5% cash back!

Dirt Cheap Books, DVDs!
Friday, November 20, 2009 Hand-posted by Layla
Glad I came across this site, called Alibris! They have tons and tons of really cheap, like dirt cheap, DVDs, VHS (yeah, can you believe they still exist??!!), books, cookbooks, textbooks, rare books, and so much more.
I just found a DVD of the Dark Knight for under $2.00!! Some are used and some are brand new. And they have a 60 day return policy, which is always nice! Oh, and my favorite movie of allllll time, The Last Unicorn is listed for $1.99!! Yeah, I know it is a cartoon, but I LOVE it nonetheless!
There are hundreds of sellers who sell all of these items, from around the country so you are basically helping them out. Isn’t it always great to help out the small businesses, that keep this country moving?
Anyways, I just thought my frugal readers would enjoy this!
I am definitely bookmarking this one!
Oh, and here are some discount codes that I found that expire on November 30th at Midnight:
ZEPPELIN $2 off $20
STONES $4 off $40
BYRDS $6 off $60
JANIS $8 off $80
PINKFLOYD $10 off $100

Home phone service for just $19.95 per year…
Wednesday, September 23, 2009 Hand-posted by Jennifer
Have you heard about magicJack? Talk about cheap home phone service! I want one of these so I can save money…but I can’t have one (keep reading). But, maybe you can so I thought I’d pass the information along.
I can see all the money saving potential in this little gadget and even called about it awhile back. Know what I found out?! “I’m sorry mam but magicJack isn’t compatible with Satellite internet”. Dern! So much for living out in the country where satellite is my only choice because cable internet doesn’t reach.
Anyways. I’ve talked about this service before and here are some comments my readers left. Hopefully some of you could benefit from the risk free trial. If you do then please stop back here and let me know. I’d love to share it again with everyone else!
Budget Bella said... I talk about this over at my blog too. I have managed to save $700 by using this device. We cancelled our phone service immediately. But your inlaws should really just get it on the 30 day free trial and use it. That's the only way to sell them on it.

My dad's sister has it and she loves it. Not sure how it works or whatever, she lives in Kentucky, we can not get it here cause we are out in the boonies, but she says its awesome, and we never have any problems hearing her or anything with it. She just disconnected her home phone all together and uses this for all her calls, and she has a daycare so she uses it for business to..

Reminder: This was extended and ends TONIGHT!
Starting today, 9/9/09, you can snag a $25 Gift Certificate from Restaurants.com for 90% off! WOW, That’s only a $1!
This is the lowest price that I have ever seen them so you will definitely want to STOCK UP!!

I still have some left that I purchased awhile back but I’ll definitely be buying some more at this price.
Personally speaking I have one location in my area that participates within my acceptable driving distance that I frequent. The restaurant is wonderful for my family because it is family friendly & alot cheaper than fast food. (with better taste too)

Have you heard? Get 20 FREE i-wireless minutes at Kroger
Saturday, May 02, 2009 Hand-posted by Jennifer
Kroger is giving away 20 FREE i-wireless phone minutes for every $100 you spend at Kroger just like their gas program! This applies to any of the Kroger family of stores. Read more here.
Effective May 4th customers who link their i-wireless phone number to their Kroger Plus Card number will automatically receive 20 FREE minutes for every $100 spent at Kroger. But, unlike the fuel program you can carry over any unused FREE minutes from month to month! They never expire! Just roll and roll and roll.
So, how do you get a phone?
- Check the display at Kroger or ask an associate. (in select stores)
- Prices for the i-wireless phones start around $50 for a basic model.
How do you link your i-wireless phone to your Kroger Plus card?
- On your phone at activation.
- Via IVR at 1-866-594-3608
- Live operator at 611 from i-wireless cell
- Online at i-wireless home
How do you know when you have minutes?
- You will get a text message each time you earn a 20-minute reward.
- On your receipt at the bottom near where the fuel points are tallied.
What are the restrictions?
- Excludes pharmacy, alcohol and tobacco.
All incoming text messages are FREE and to send a text is only 10¢.
This makes me ask ~ Does Kroger know how much couponers spend at their stores? Can you tally up in your head how many minutes we could end up with on an i-wireless phone?
Hmm…Wonder if those phones go on sale?
