Most of my family have been fortunate to not suffer from allergies but it is something that my best friend Stacy deals with on a daily basis. Stacy has been contributing to this blog since I started working full time so she is a huge help to this site. When Simply Saline offered to mail a package to me with their products I immediately thought of her. You’ll find her thoughts below.
How did the Simply Saline work when it was tested out?
I suffer badly from allergies and sinus, so I was more than excited to try Simply Saline. My favorite thing about it…it’s a drug-free saline nasal mist. I have used like products in the past, however I have had to mix the formula. Simply Saline uses a premixed bag that is in the can, such a convenience.
The product claims to help dry congestion and flush dust, dirt and pollen away. It works very well, especially in the morning when you wake up unable to breath. The only cons are when tilting your head, if you tilt your head the wrong way the spray ends up going down the back of your throat and it may sting a little.
What was my favorite thing from the package?
The Lavender Cleanwell Antibacterial Foaming Hand soap. First word that pops in my head…Ahh and then Wow! I love the smell of Lavender and this wasn’t an over powering smell. I like that its all natural and cleans very well.
I have dry skin and soaps usually help to dry my hands out or leaves them feeling greasy. This foam works very effective in cleaning and leaving my hands feeling soft and lightly fragranced. The soap also kills 99.9% of harmful germs. I like that its All Natural, no harsh chemicals.

ReUsies Reusable Snack/Sandwich Bag Giveaway

If you heard the word ReUsies would you know what it was? It pretty much means what it sounds like. ReUsies is a product that is meant to be used and reused hence, the product name “ReUsies ”.
Ha! Pretty simple, huh!?
Well, ReUsies offered to send me a two pack of ReUsies to try out. After I found out that these were great little reusable sandwich and snack bags I was super excited! I dislike paying for something that I know will be thrown away. And, bribe as you will, my children cannot remember to bring baggies home to re-use.
Time went by and “the package” finally arrived.
An envelope arrived one evening and I tore it open to check things out. Out fell two little ReUsies bags and a product card. Wonderful Mommie that I am, I disregard the card to get my hands on the actual bags.
I pull them out and see that I received the Chugga Choo two-pack version of the ReUsies . This design was perfect for me since I have two boys and a girl. I curiously inspect the bag which looks just like an envelope that closes with velcro. The inside is made out of leak resistant nylon material. Check. A strip of velcro also appears down the back side of the bag.
For the life of me I couldn’t figure out what this mysterious strip of velcro was doing on the back of the bag. Seriously, it was too far away from the front flap to wrap around to adhere to. A thought actually crossed my mind that their must be some kind of ReUsies lunchbag and this velcro was to adhere your sandwich to the side of the bag or something. Ha! Was I ever wrong about that. How did the ReUsies work when I tested it out?
My daughter was just as thrilled to see the bags arrive and eager to test them out. She helped fill up a bag full of grapes and a one with a PB&J sandwich. Then she promptly requested that we walk over to her Granny’s to have a picnic and show off her new snack bags. I obliged and she had a great trip.
After out test it was time to clean things up. Now, at this point I actually looked at the product card that came in the package to see the proper way to care for these things. Know what? I found a use for that mysterious velcro. Um, when you turn the ReUsie inside out you are able to adhere the front flap to that back piece of velcro. Then you can actually toss these things into your dishwasher or washing machine without them getting stuck to everything else in the washer. Hand washing is an option also.
Would I buy anything else from ReUsies?
Let’s just say that I received two ReUies and three kids. I’m sure you’re pretty good at figuring out that math equation.

Rada Cutlery Knives Giveaway

Are you a knife person? Me, not so much. I’m not the best cook and I do not claim to have the best knowledge about the utensils that I use in the kitchen. So, I was more than excited when Rada offered to have me test out their kitchen knives.
Rada Cutlery offered to mail a package to me with a silver brushed Aluminum handle Cook’s Knife and black Stainless Steel Regular Pairing Knife. Really?? OK!
First, let me tell you about some of the utensils in my kitchen drawer. Can you say “Hand-Me-Downs”. Yep, pretty much. Most of what I own was either given to me or bought from our local Habitat Home Store for pocket change. A drawer full of mis-matched silver and you’re lucky if it will cut knives.
Time went by and “the package” finally arrived.
Getting the package was very exciting. As I opened it I was immediately shocked by the weight of the Cook’s knife. I carefully opened the protective packaging and was in awe of the actual quality of the knives. Remember, I’m not a great cook and my utensils are not name brand. This is very new territory for me to handle.
I hand off the knives to my husband and quickly flip through the catalog to see how much these knives actually cost. I was shocked!! After already telling myself that these knives probably cost a fortune I was shocked to see that the Cook’s Knife was less than $10.00 and the Regular Paring Knife was less than $5.00.
All this time I’ve been using hand-me-downs and at those prices I could have ones that would actually cut?
How did the knives work when put to the test?
After slicing through my kitchen scrubber when I washed it I immediately told myself that I better be careful because it is obviously more knife than I am used to using. Moving on from the scrubber incident I whipped out some cranberries leftover from Thanksgiving.
I whipped out some almonds to see if I could manage slicing something with a little more density. When I shaved slivers of that almond right down the side without any trouble at all I was enamored.
I’m sold at this point! Send me to cooking school cause this Mommie needs to learn how to cook with these things. Now, whether these awesome knifes can make my cooking taste any better, that’s another story.
Would I buy anything else from Rada Cutlery?
ASOLUTELY. I have a birthday soon and I’ve already circled several things in the catalog that I would like to have. Waiting that long and narrowing the selections down in another thing entirely.

All you have to do for a chance to win one of the $500 gift cards is clip Cellfire coupons. Every time you save a coupon to your loyalty card, you’re entered for a chance to win 1 of 5 $500 gift cards.

The Little Looster recently contacted me about their new product and while all of my kiddos are beyond the potty training stage I jumped at the opportunity for my friend who was just starting this phase with her little man and she obliged for the purposes of this review.
All children will eventually use the “big-potty” so WHY not start kids out on it comfortably? I mean seriously, what’s comforting about being told to sit on a big bowl full of water? Toddlers think they might “fall-in” so why not give them the security and confidence that the stability of the Little Looster provides.
Little Looster kids use their legs for support, alleviating that fear of falling in. Hands no longer need to grip the germ-ridden, inner rim. Plus, you can save the extra expense and mess that comes with the space-consuming porta-potty.
The Little Looster - Booster for the Loo is a horseshoe shaped stool that surrounds the base of your toilet, creating a pedestal for children to be supported while they sit on the loo. We can all say goodbye to the port-a-potty, toilet seat inserts, diapers, stress, apprehension, accidents and the lack of space in our bathrooms.
How does the Little Looster work?
The Little Looster supports and boosts little legs, while potty training AND for the next 2-3 years that toes can’t reach the ground. No more “stinging” sensation when legs fall-asleep, from dangling unsupported off the sides of the toilet - little legs love the Little Looster.

So what did I think?
When I received the box in the mail that contained the Little Looster I was so excited and it didn’t disappoint. The Little Looster looked cool straight out of the box and I was ready to give it a whirl. I have a rather small bathroom so even though I was worried that it might be big and bulky, it wasn’t. It fit snuggly around my toilet seat just like it claimed and I hardly even noticed it at all when I sat down on the toilet.
What did my son think?
The Little Looster might have passed the test with me but, it would need to get the final stamp of approval from my son. I showed him the new “potty step” and without any questions he stepped right up onto the Little Looster and plopped down on the toilet all by himself! And that was it! He loved it!
The Little Looster is such a wonderful idea that adds joy and excitement to the potty training process. For me there is no more having to bend down and pick him up and I can tell that my son is more confident about the whole process. He is able to site his feet down and relax and I can concentrate on my child and the joy in his potty success instead of rushing off to clean out a messy training potty.
What about cleanup?
I was a little worried about how I was going to keep the Little Looster clean because of the raised grooves on it but it’s a cinch. I just tossed it in the tub for a quick scrub and while I was drying it off I noticed the weight capacity is 200 lbs. Doesn’t that sound awesome!?
The Little Looster has grips on the bottom to prevent it from sliding and always stays in place. And, while it sits snuggly around the potty I have also been using it for other purposes in the bathroom as well. Mommie uses it as a stool for reaching in the top of the bathroom cabinet and as a stool at the sink for when my son is brushing teeth.
The Little Looster is the best thing yet for potty training & I love that I can get so many other uses out of it too!

With just two days left to enter the $100 Grocery Card Giveaway I thought I’d share a quick story with you & throw out an opportunity for an extra entry.
I haven’t been grocery shopping lately which is fine, we have a stockpile. We’re fully stocked on many things but, even with a stockpile there are still necessities that have to be bought. Milk, bread and such. Know what I mean?
I repeat, no milk. Again, the kids begged for cereal and I digress that I let them eat it with water. Yelch. I don’t know how they choked it down but kuddos to General Mills for making Lucky Charms taste so good, even with plain water.

Have you clipped all the ecoupons available on Cellfire? I tend to pickup at least one of the items when I go shopping. Be it Cheerios for the kids or yogurt for myself.
