Improvising for peace and quiet ~ Bubbles anyone?

Friday, May 22, 2009 Hand-posted by Jennifer

I’m laying it out on the table…I’m sick.  It hit me last night after I already spent 1/2 the day at the pediatrician with all my children.  They all have some sort of cold and were put on the most horrible tasting medicine and breathing treatments.  I felt mine coming on and hoped that it wouldn’t develop into anything…it did!

School is out.  All the children are home.  My head is pounding.  My sinus’ feel awful.  My body aches.  And what do I do to settle the kids down?  Throw em in the tub!  My kids range from 8 to 2 so clothes and all, climb on in.  Be nice.  Don’t splash big.  Here’s warm water, bubbles, cups, spoons, funnels…have at it!

And now, here I sit.  Typing up this blog post.  The room isn’t quite as loud and I’m resting.  Ahhh!

There are somedays that I rate as successful only for the fact that my kids and I are still alive at the end of the day. Baths and popcicles have saved us so many times.

Feel better. Good thoughts coming your way from the other side of Knox.

I hope you all are feeling better soon!! Our go to feel better tonic is ginger tea with a little honey in it--if you do not have bagged tea you can use ground ginger to make your own. I like the bubble idea, and I'll have to remember it when we're sick next time. Feel better!
