Coupon Preview for 10/4

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 Hand-posted by Jennifer

There are 2 inserts scheduled for this Sunday with some good coupons lined up in the preview.

A few coupons that should matchup with some great sales:

  • Chex Mix or Chex 100 Calorie Snack, 4.5oz+ – 50 cents off any 2 (x11/28) Stack it with this $1/1 Target Printable (x10/24) for FREE or cheap Chex Mix at Target
  • Fleischmann’s Yeast, strip or jar – 40 cents off any 1 (x1/31/10) Hold onto this coupon & watch for a sale and/or a catalina offer.  I was able to get it free last year.
  • Glade The Fragrance Collection Multi-wick Candle or Scented Reed Diffuser – $3.00 off any 1 (x11/21) This is a great coupon to stack with a deal at CVS or Walgreens which could make for them to be cheap or Free.  Love the smellies!
  • SoyJoy – $2.00 off any 10 bars (x12/31/09) Not that this is my favorite snack bar (yelch) but CVS will often put them on a sale and with coupons they are normally FREE or a Moneymaker.  When that happens I buy them and donate them.

You can see the full preview HERE for all the details!  Keep in mind that coupons may vary by region.

How do you save money on your newspapers?  Do you buy it in the store or subscribe to delivery?

I personally have 8 (eight) subscriptions [call me crazy] which you can read more about here.

Newspaper subscription

What newspapers do you have delivered? I tried to get multiple copies of the Knoxville News Sentinel delivered and they told me I could only have one delivery per address. I would love to order multiple weekend editions. How do you do it?

I personally have the Knox News Sentinel also. My request did have to go through a special approval process though.

I was very clear when I called to make my request and was told that it would have to be approved and someone would have to call me back. I stated that was fine with me and that I would pay in advance on the phone so that the account would be prepaid.

I will state that Knox News has an 800# that is NOT very helpful. They adhere closely to a set of guidelines they are given and I don't think they can stray from them.

I would contact someone here and probably the advertising department. Tell them you specifically DO NOT want their 800# and want to speak with someone about your subscription. You will probably have to leave a message so make sure you leave a good number.

Hope that helps! If it doesn't then email me directly (jennifer at couponmommie dot com) and I'll try to contact them myself to help get it straightened out.

I buy a paper if there are inserts-sometime two or three. I don't want a subscription because I don't want the paper in and of itself and sometimes there are no coupons-this way I have the freedom to buy (or not when there aren't any coupons.) And the librarian gives me their leftovers for which I am very thanksful. We don't have neighbors right now, but I would not be shy to ask them if they get a subscription & use their coupons!
